Internal Water Leak Detected
The boiler has detected an internal water leak. Water may be dripping onto internal components which is dangerous.
Step-by-Step Fix Guide
-
Step 1
If you can see water dripping from the boiler, turn off the water supply and the boiler
-
Step 2
Do not use the boiler until it has been inspected
-
Step 3 Engineer only
A Gas Safe engineer will need to identify and repair the source of the leak — common causes include a cracked heat exchanger, failed seals, or corroded pipe connections
Work on gas appliances must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The steps above cover safe checks a homeowner can perform - any internal component replacement requires a qualified professional. If in doubt, always call an engineer.
