Ignition Failure / No Flame Detected
On Viessmann Vitodens boilers, code EA (or E4 on some models) indicates the burner flame signal is too weak or missing after ignition attempt. Common in winter due to condensate pipe freezing.
EA in winter is commonly caused by a frozen condensate pipe. Viessmann code F4 EE specifically indicates this. Thaw and reset.
