Gas Pressure Too Low
The gas supply pressure to the boiler is below the minimum required for safe operation. Can be caused by a supply interruption, closed gas valve, or a fault with the gas meter.
Step-by-Step Fix Guide
-
Step 1
Check that other gas appliances in the home are working
-
Step 2
Ensure the gas isolation valve under the boiler (yellow handle pointing along the pipe) is open
-
Step 3
If all gas appliances have lost supply, contact your gas supplier or Cadent on 0800 111 999
-
Step 4 Engineer only
If only the boiler is affected, call a Gas Safe engineer
Work on gas appliances must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The steps above cover safe checks a homeowner can perform - any internal component replacement requires a qualified professional. If in doubt, always call an engineer.
