Water Pressure Sensor Fault
The electronic water pressure sensor is giving an incorrect reading. The boiler cannot verify the system has adequate water pressure.
Step-by-Step Fix Guide
-
Step 1
Check the analogue pressure gauge if available — the digital and analogue readings should agree
-
Step 2
If the pressure gauge shows normal pressure (1-1.5 bar) but the boiler still shows this fault, the sensor itself is faulty
-
Step 3 Engineer only
A Gas Safe engineer will need to replace the pressure sensor
Work on gas appliances must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The steps above cover safe checks a homeowner can perform - any internal component replacement requires a qualified professional. If in doubt, always call an engineer.
