Circulation Pump Fault
The central heating pump is not running or is not producing sufficient water flow. The boiler cannot circulate hot water through the system.
Step-by-Step Fix Guide
-
Step 1
Check the system pressure gauge — repressurise if below 1 bar
-
Step 2
If the pump is making no noise at all, it may have seized
-
Step 3 Engineer only
A Gas Safe engineer will need to test and potentially replace the pump
Work on gas appliances must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The steps above cover safe checks a homeowner can perform - any internal component replacement requires a qualified professional. If in doubt, always call an engineer.
