Overheat — Safety Thermostat Triggered

The boiler has overheated and the safety thermostat has shut it down. Usually caused by poor water circulation, low pressure, or a failing pump.

Step-by-Step Fix Guide

  1. Step 1

    Turn off the boiler and allow to cool for 30 minutes

  2. Step 2

    Check and correct system pressure

  3. Step 3

    Bleed all radiators

  4. Step 4

    Reset the boiler once

  5. Step 5 Engineer only

    If fault returns, call a Gas Safe engineer to investigate circulation and pump
